Transactions (Old Series) are the original 15 papers formally presented between 1938 and 1944.  The series was re-started in 1944 as Transactions (New Series) with ten volumes covering the period 1944 – 1971.

News, Notes and Queries began in 1951 as an informal newsletter.  The first series, NNQ (Old Series) comprises six volumes from 1951 -1956.  The series was re-started as NNQ (New Series), with 16 volumes between 1957 -1972.

News, Notes and Queries originally complemented the more-formal Transactions but by 1972 had become the Society’s principal publication.  In 1973 the title was changed to The Bulletin, whose first volume was numbered 17 in continuance of the NNQ (New Series) sequence.

The links on this page call up whole volumes, unlike search results which point to individual editions.  Whichever method is used, you can search inside the document by pressing ‘Ctrl’ and ‘F’ (Windows) or ‘Cmd’ and ‘F’ (Mac) and entering your search term in the dialog box that opens.
