Sinking of SS Callina 1898 in the Atlantic
Quote from Ted Scaplehorn on 4 June 2019, 02:47One of our members has asked for information about the sinking of SS Callina in the Atlantic in 1898. She had sailed from New York for Liverpool with a cargo of corn/wheat and ran into a storm in the Atlantic. She shipped water into the holds and started sinking . The SS Kanawaha saw her distress signals and was able to rescue the crew without loss of life.
