New Video Presentation: “William Schaw Lindsay: Victorian Shipping Magnate” by Bill Lindsay

Historian, author, and LMS member Bill Lindsay describes the life of his great-great-grandfather William Schaw Lindsay, a self-made man who ran away to sea, became a shipmaster, and went on to own one of the largest shipping companies in the United Kingdom.  The talk was originally presented to members at The Athenaeum, Liverpool, on 21 September 2023.
